2015年に音楽レーベルMatatabiRecordsを創設し、札幌 / 東京を拠点に活動しています。
音楽家 景井雅之、二胡奏者 凛子を軸とした作品は 、「静けさの中に潜む強さと美の可能性」を音楽に昇華させ、聴く人が自然に自らの心の世界へと旅立ちながら、美しい何かに触れられる体験を提示する。
舞台・現代アート・映画・ファッションショーとの国際的なコラボレーションから東京オリンピック、国際芸術祭などでの音楽プロジェクト。
美術館・プラネタリウムなど施設や都市の音環境デザイン、地域イベントのディレクション、自主レーベルからのリリース、海洋プラスチックごみを材料にした海洋プラスチックスピーカーを制作するなど、その活動は多岐にわたる。こうした取り組みを通じて、あらゆる境遇の人たちに力とインスピレーションを届けている。
市町村、環境省、文化財団、各企業様と連携したイベント事業や、新しい価値を創造するまちづくりプロジェクト、メディアデザインなど積極的に参加。
洞爺湖にて毎年開催している 音楽×運動会×盆踊り×マルシェを融合した参加体験型フェス「LOVETOYA」のイベントディレクターを担当し10年開催。
Matatabi Records was established in 2015 and operates out of Sapporo and Tokyo.
His work sublimates “the potential for power and beauty lurking within silence” into music, offering listeners a space to experience encounters with beauty while being naturally drawn on a journey into their inner world.
His diverse activities span international collaborations across theater, contemporary art, film, and fashion shows; sound design for museums, planetariums, and urban soundscapes; and directing regional events. Through these endeavors, he delivers strength and inspiration to people from all walks of life.
Actively engaged in event projects in collaboration with municipalities, the Ministry of the Environment, cultural foundations, and various companies, as well as community development projects creating new value and media design.
Currently serving as event director for “LOVETOYA”—a participatory festival blending music, athletic meets, Bon dances, and markets—held annually at Lake Toya for the past 10 years.
景井雅之は、日本を代表するコンテンポラリーダンス振付家・平原慎太郎氏率いるダンスカンパニー「OrganWorks」の作曲・音楽監修として2014年より活動。
ダンス作品やファッションショーなどの音楽を手がけた作品は、日本、中国、韓国、イスラエル、スペイン、ベルギー、フランス、セルビアなど様々な国で上演されている。
Masayuki Kagei has been active since 2014 as a composer and music supervisor for OrganWorks, a dance company led by Shintaro Hirahara, a leading contemporary dance choreographer in Japan.
His composed dances and fashion shows have been performed in various countries including Japan, China, Korea, Israel, Spain, Belgium, France, and Serbia.
2021年には、東京オリンピック2020開会式の選手宣誓の後から夜空に巨大な地球儀が出現するまでのパフォーマンスの音楽制作を担当。
In 2021, he was in charge of music production for the performance from the pledge of athletes to the opening ceremony of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games to the appearance of a giant globe in the night sky.
2022年には世界的に社会問題となっている海洋プラスチックごみをテーマにした環境省ローカルブルーオーシャンビジョン推進事業に選考されたアートプロジェクトを担当。海岸のクリーン活動で拾い集めたごみを素材とし「海の声を届ける」をコンセプトに『海洋プラスチックスピーカーpure』を制作。
In 2022, he was in charge of an art project selected for the Ministry of the Environment's Local Blue Ocean Vision Promotion Project on the theme of marine plastic waste, which has become a global social problem. Using trash collected in beach cleanup activities as material, he created “Marine Plastic Speaker Pure” based on the concept of “delivering the voice of the ocean.
2023年には、中国で開催された「第5回国際海上シルクロード芸術祭」のオープニングセレモニーの楽曲制作、ASEANと日本をつなぐプロジェクトの音楽ディレクション、TEDxSapporo2023のスピーカーなどを務めた。
In 2023, he produced music for the opening ceremony of the 5th International Maritime Silk Road Art Festival in China, directed music for a project connecting ASEAN and Japan, and was a speaker at TEDxSapporo2023.
